Why we are watching
Self-hostable RAG and agent application: your documents, your embeddings index, and a local model backend as a supported path. The brief's counter-example is a project that uses this vocabulary while resting data in the vendor's cloud, so it is fair to note the framing here is marketing-adjacent — but the substance holds: it ships as an open-source container you run, with an embedded vector store, so the index of your private documents sits on your machine and there is nothing to be locked out of.
